Vivek Oberoi’s 400 Crore Investment

Earlier it was reported that Raghuleela Infrastructure, a firm in which Vivek Oberoi is a partner, would be investing Rs. 200 crore in developing a themed resort and township in Gujarat. Now we hear that the firm has since decided on doubling its investment to Rs. 400 crore after the Gujarat government announced its new tourism policy.

In view of developing the ‘Royal Beach City-The Goa’ resort and township near Ganeshpura village on Vataman-Dholka highway, 45 kms from Ahmedabad, Oberoi also met the Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel and Tourism Minister Saurabh Patel. Commenting on the same, Oberoi stated that the new tourism police by the Gujarat government boosted their confidence to invest more. Further adding that as a businessman, no other state is having such a favorable tourism policy, and wished that other states adopt it as well.

While the project that will be spread over 100 acres, and offer 25 recreational activities with an artificial beach to give a feeling of Goa’s seashore complete with artificial waves, and also a golf course will take some years to complete, the club house will be operational within one year.
