The learning experience goes beyond just dancing for adults (12 to 84 years). Students will create props, design costumes and be a part of the buzz backstage and on stage during the live Summer Funk show!  Adding a twist to the show, Shiamak structures the show in the form of an inter class dance competition, Rise of the Champions, to select the best dance class in your city! The judges will not only look at dance, but also synchronization, energy, performance, team spirit, costumes, props and overall presentation. The healthy competition between classes will help students work harder and push your limits to perform better and come out as a winner! Shiamak has designed a syllabus specific to kids (4 to 6 years) and juniors (7 to 11 years) that takes them through the technique of the style they learn, creative movements, exercises, dance based activities and the song they learn that they perform on stage– Students will learn a dance style and learn to perform on stage to overcome stage fright, gain confidence and be our stars of tomorrow! The Summer Funk stage has been a platform for stars to nurture their talent. The biggest Bollywood names have been students at Shiamak’s Dance Academy and performed at the Funk including the likes of Shahid Kapoor, Varun Dhawan,  Sushant Singh Rajput, Sonakshi Sinha and many more.

“There is no better feeling than performing on stage in front of a live audience. I grew up with this feeling and the Summer Funk stage is an extension to help people get the same experience. We don’t judge, it’s a creative space to people to forget their worries and have their moment in the spotlight. I’m excited about the new theme song, Funk it Up! Looking forward to a great summer full of dancing and learning!” says Shiamak.
