Maybelline launches ‘Brave Together’ supporting mental health issues.

Beauty giant Maybelline New York has launched Brave Together, a global philanthropic platform to break down the stigma around pervasive issues like anxiety and depression. Maybelline Brave Together will also address other challenges facing people across the world and provide resources to help marginalized communities.

Due to self-isolation from the COVID-19 pandemic, adults have reported significantly worse mental health conditions than average, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported in June. The study indicated a rise among Essential workers, unpaid caregivers, minorities, and young adults .Follow Spotlife Asia for the latest news and updates.

The initiative, which goes into effect on September 25, will support better mental health by several means. Maybelline has pledged to donate $10 million throughout the next five years to global and local mental health organizations. Some of those, according to the brand, include Crises Text Line, National Alliance on Mental Illness, and The JED Foundation.

Maybelline will also deploy a digital resource site that anyone can access digitally at any time. It’ll be available to use in five languages (for now) and feature real-time tips from mental health experts. Sad Girls Club founder Elyse Fox, Half the Story founder Larissa May, and psychotherapist Liz Beecroft are all confirmed experts among the brand’s growing roster.
